Terms & Conditions

This list of Clink Hostel Terms & Conditions only applies to independent travellers (also called backpackers) and not to group (+15 people). To see the Group’s Terms & Conditions click here.

1. Arrivals and Departures

New arrivals can check into their rooms after 2:30pm each day. Guests may arrive earlier and leave their luggage at the hostel but access to rooms will not be granted until after 2:30pm. Departing guests must remove all their belongings from their room, and check out, at 10am. After this time guests may make use of the luggage storage facilities but all possessions must be removed from the dorm/room.

2. Check In

You do not have to be a member of any organisation to stay at Clink hostel however we do require that some form of valid photo identification is presented upon check in, preferably a passport, I.D. card or driving license.

3. Room allocation

When booking dorm beds in dorm rooms, we cannot guarantee that you will all be staying in the same room. We suggest booking private rooms if you don't want to be split.

4. Room Key Cards

Upon check in, guests will receive a room keycard for access to both the hostel and their room and an invoice (proof or payment). Reception staff may ask to see this invoice at any time, so it will need to be kept safe with the room keycard. In case the keycard is lost, £2 will be charged.

5. Check Out

Check out is at 10am. In case of late check out, you will be asked to pay for an extra night.

6. Age Restriction

Bookings cannot be accepted from any person under the age of 16 unless they are accompanied by an adult (over 18). Guests who wish to bring their children under 16 years of age must book whole dorms or private rooms. Unlike some hostels we do not have an upper age limit. Most of our guests are backpackers in the 18 to 30 age range. Please be aware that you may be assigned a top bunk!

7. Cancellation/No Show:

If you have not notified by email Clink hostel at info@clinkhostel.com at least 48 hours in advance of your arrival date. Clink hostel reserves the right to charge your credit card for the amount for your first night stay.

8. Guest Behaviour

The comfort, safety and security of our guests is of paramount importance to Clink hostel. Any guest(s) who, in the opinion of our staff, compromise the comfort, safety or security of other guests, staff or local residents will be requested to leave the hostel premises and will not be offered a refund. Guests are expected to respect other guests, staff, local residents and property.

9. Smoking

Smoking is not permitted. Any guest found smoking within the building will be fined £50.00 and asked to leave the premises immediately and will not be offered a refund. A smoking area and ashtrays are provided in the smoking area in the basement for guests who wish to smoke.

10. Drug use

Drug use is illegal in England. Any guest found using drugs within the building will be fined £250.00 and asked to leave the premises immediately and will not be offered a refund.

11. Alcohol consumption

Alcohol consumption is only allowed for over 18s guests. Due to our bar license it is not permitted to enter Clink’s premises with alcohol. If you are found entering Clink with alcohol it will be confiscated until your leave the building (check out). Alcohol is available in the bar and can be consume in the basement common rooms.

12. Personal Property

Guests may use secure lockers for laptops and small valuable items (located in each pod bed or at reception or the luggage room (located in the basement. It remains the guest's responsibility to ensure that their personal belongings are secure at all times. Clink hostel accepts no liability for the loss, theft or damage to property however sustained or caused. Please bring a padlock to use with your luggage & backpack.

13. Clink’s Property

Guests will be expected to reimburse Clink hostel for any damages caused by inappropriate behaviour during their stay.

14. Liability

Except in relation to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, Clink’s liability remains, at all times, limited to the value of the services booked, excluding any amendment charges paid to us.

15. Your Information

Clink hostel shall only store and use information you supply to us or which is supplied to us for the purposes of carrying out our contract with you and to inform you of other services and offers which we make available from time to time. 16. Errors and Omissions

Any omission or error in sales literature, web pages or site, order form, quotation, price list, order acknowledgement, despatch note, invoice or other document issued by us may be corrected by us without liability. We will advise you of any changes at the time of booking or as soon as is reasonably possible thereafter.

17. Discretion

All bookings are subject to availability and Clink hostel reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion.
